Totally addicted to the tv series New Girl with Zooey Deschanel. The second season began a few weeks ago so when Belgian fall weather really kicks in, I will be hooked to the television!

First sunbeams + Birthday

Long time no post, I know. But I have an excuse. I was busy graduating. From now on, I will have a bit more time though.

So last week we had some summer time here in Belgium for the first time in... Well I guess since last year. And it was boyfriends birthday! We enjoyed the sun in the park with some strawberry tart, magazines, ice tea and each other of course. I loved it and I hope he did as well.

Summer bbq

Me and the family had a lovely bbq yesterday and I decided to make dessert. Me, who never cooked a thing in her entire life, made little vanilla spongecakes with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. And I was actually stunned that it all worked out. My dad could'nt stop photographing me while eating 'my creations' (feels good to say it like that) because I totally made a mess out of myself. But they were delicious and I learned that I'm not such a klutz with cooking after all.

New favorite quote!



The person who said this, and apparently that's Sophie, age two, must be so smart! And that makes sence to me because I believe that kids are so much smarter then adults. They just say what they think, they are always (too maybe? No!) honest, and they just do what they feel like. I love how a kids mind works.

Happy Almost Weekend

Today was my last day of school for this week so my weekend starts a bit earlier (happy!). This weekend I will be visiting the Christmas Market in Brussels with boyfriend of course. I'm very into the Christmas mood already because of the first snow that fell down this week. Everyone nagged on and on about the disadvantages but
I enjoyed this week to pieces! I grabbed my snow boots and a cosy, warm sweater and went outside as much as I could. I also want to have a Tree as soon as possible, because when it's cold outdoors
I want to come home to a cosy living room with a beautiful Christmas Tree. December and your snowy, freezy weather and lovely holidays,

Origami Tea bag

These origami inspired tea bags, designed by Nathalia Ponomareva, would make my morning tea ritual so much more fun. These wonderful disign birds would probably help me with my morning mood. And my morning is mood is not a happy one! So I could use some cheering up during these dreary mornings of fall.

Would these tea birds fly over to the stores in Belgium? I hope so!

House Dance Love!!

The new dance season started in the dance school where I dance and teach, 'K!dans', with the Back2Dance workshops. It's three days of workshops with choreographers from in- and outside our dance school. Today I followed a session 'House Dance' with Mamson and 'Poppin and Lockin' with Alvarez. I discovered that 'Poppin and Lockin' is not really my cup of tea but I actually already knew that. On the other hand I fell in love with 'House Dance'! I just love the quick movements of the feet and the style and the flow of this dance.

Below you can find a little video where Mamson performs freestyle 'House Dance'.

And I will need some more practice to do something like that, but I'll keep working on it!
